New Weed Abatement Deadline – June 1st, 2012

Because of the rainy weather we’ve had in April the SR Fire Department has extended its weed abatement compliance deadline to June 1st.  That means you have a few more weeks to start with your maintenance for the season, which usually lasts through summer and into November.  Remember, we live in a very high fire severity zone.  It takes everyone working together to keep us safer from a burning ember becoming an out of control wildfire.  If you live within Fountaingrove II, each of the three sets of CC&Rs require that homeowners maintain their properties (front, side and rear) in a weed-free condition.  (You may find all sets of CC&Rs for Fountaingrove II here:  http://fountaingroveii.com/arc-architectural-review-committee).

Should you have further questions about compliance, you may visit the City website:  http://ci.santa-rosa.ca.us/departments/fire/prevention/weed_abatement/Pages/default.aspx.  Concerned residents may contact the City via this link to make reports on properties that are not in compliance with the weed abatement rules.  The OSMA does not enforce or report on compliance issues.   Please take a look at www.fountaingroveii.com for further information and fire safety tips.
